Creating Your Account

Setting up your Real Estate Ledger account takes a few minutes. Here's how to get started.

Step 1: Choose Your Account Type

Go to the sign-up page and select your account type:

  • Owner -- For homeowners, landlords, and individuals managing their own properties. Includes subscription-based pricing with monthly or annual plans, plus a 30-day free trial.
  • Builder -- For construction professionals documenting new builds. Includes per-property subscription pricing so you pay based on how many properties you manage.

Select your account type and click Continue.

Step 2: Enter Your Information

Fill in the registration form:

  1. Enter your First name and Last name
  2. Enter your Email -- this becomes your login
  3. Create a Password -- use 8 or more characters with numbers, symbols, and mixed case

Check the box to accept the Terms and Privacy Policy, then click Continue.

Step 3: Verify Your Email

A 6-digit verification code is sent to your email address.

  1. Check your inbox for an email from Real Estate Ledger
  2. Enter the verification code in the boxes provided
  3. Click Continue

Tip: If you don't see the email, check your spam folder. You can click Resend code to get a new one.

Step 4: Complete Your Setup

What happens next depends on your account type.

For Owners:Choose a plan -- Individual Property (1 property) or Multi-Property (up to 3). Select monthly or annual billing, then complete payment through Stripe checkout.

For Builders:Enter your business details (company name, industry, size, and address), then choose how many property slots you need and select monthly or annual billing. Complete payment through Stripe checkout.

Step 5: Set Up Your First Property

After payment, you're taken to set up your first property. Choose a property type, enter the address, and add optional details like year built and square footage.

Good to know:

  • Owners start with a free trial on the Individual Property plan -- no credit card required
  • You can change your plan at any time from Billing settings
  • Builder business information can be edited later in Business details
